From Songwriters Series to the Grammys to the David Letterman Show

French songwriter smiles on the Songwriters Series Internet TV show I just heard that French songwriter starlet, Ayo, performed on the David Letterman show. Ayo, the young songwriter who performed for Songwriters Series Season 2’s grand opening with Gilli Moon and Samantha Murphy, is now a guest on the David Letterman show. How about Canadian songwriter star, Gordie Sampson, accepting the Grammy for best song of the year 2007 (or 2006 and I can’t remember the name of the song but I swear he won it) after his appearance as one of Songwriters Series Season 3 opening performers? What about New York sensation, Rachael Sage, who played Season 3 opener as well? She is now in the top ten reaching for number one song in Starbucks songwriting competition. How about Susan Gibson who sold 14 million copies of her song from the Dixie Chicks as a result of her appearance on the Songwriters Series? Okay. Okay. I’m getting myself too excited about this. We didn’t help Susan sell 14 million copies. She actually wrote “Wide Open Spaces” a decade ago so we can really basically attribute nothing to helping Susan but she was a guest on the show and we benefited. But the point is what is it about our show that helps songwriters and artists touch gold? Well you’re asking the right guy for that question – The Producer. What do you think I’m going to say? I’m the producer. Here’s my answer: The Songwriters Series is the reason the music industry exists today and Ayo’s latest performance finally proves it. Please send all checks and money orders to the care of Hank Sinatra Presents the Songwriters Series Internet TV show. Thank you. (P.S. Way to go Ayo!)And, with such a track record for our opening shows, get ready for our Season Five opener during SXSW (but we’re not officially with SXSW) March 2008! Log on to watch or come on by if you’re in Austin, TX.
